Atul Govil will return as we continue exploring The Four Noble Truths; which was the first Turning of the Wheel of Dharma (teaching) the Buddha gave after achieving enlightenment. This is a foundational teaching of Buddhist philosophy and a great opportunity for us to deepening our understanding of the Dharma. This topic started at our January Sangha, but prior attendance is not needed and you will be able to jump in and follow along.

We are happy to welcome back Atul Govil to kick off our first Sunday Sangha of 2025! With the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season in full swing it is important to make time to calm the mind and find your seat. During this session we will explore different forms for meditation and have a mini Holiday (re)treat!

Venerable Lama Losang Samten has been sharing teachings of loving-kindness, joy and compassion, as well as the path to enlightenment for almost 30 years. Losang lived and studied over 20 years in the Namgyal Monastery (the monastery of His Holiness the Dalai Lama) earning the highest degree attainable at the monastery, equivalent to a doctoral degree in the West. He also became a Master of Ritual Dance and Sand Mandalas and was the Personal Attendant to His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama prior to moving to the United States in 1988. Ven. Losang Samten is one of the Mandala Masters who created the first public sand mandala in the West in 1988. Sunday Sangha
For all aspirants attaining happiness in this life is a necessary condition for lasting spiritual development in this and future lifetimes.
We welcome back Atul Govil as he offers a teaching to the Sangha on the Maha-Mangala Sutta.
Together we will study Shakyamuni’s teaching called the Maha-Mangala Sutta and further cultivate the causes and conditions to attain happiness and prosperity in this lifetime. Listeners are encouraged to bring pen and notebook to create their roadmap to happiness and prosperity.
